Our Pain Centers is seeking a skilled and compassionate Pain Management Physician to join our esteemed team of healthcare professionals. As a Pain Management Physician, you will play a pivotal role in diagnosing and managing various types of chronic and acute pain conditions. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans that aim to alleviate pain, enhance function, and improve the overall quality of life for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough and empathetic evaluations of patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions, taking into consideration their medical history, symptoms, and relevant diagnostic tests.
- Diagnosis and Treatment Planning: Formulate accurate diagnoses based on clinical evaluations and diagnostic findings. Create personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based, multidisciplinary approaches to pain management.
- Interventional Procedures: Perform various interventional pain procedures, such as epidural injections, nerve blocks, joint injections, radiofrequency ablation, and spinal cord stimulation, to alleviate pain and restore functionality.
- Medication Management: Prescribe and manage medications for pain relief, ensuring patient safety and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about pain management options, treatment expectations, potential risks, and benefits, as well as lifestyle modifications to improve overall outcomes.
- Collaborative Care: Collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, and surgeons, to develop holistic treatment plans for patients with complex pain conditions.
- Documentation and Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and follow-up care in compliance with HIPAA and clinic protocols.
- Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in pain management techniques and contribute to research activities within the field to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives, ensuring the highest standards of care and patient safety are maintained.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development, attend relevant conferences, workshops, and seminars to enhance skills and knowledge within the pain management specialty.
Requirements:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pain Medicine or Anesthesiology (Pain Management fellowship training preferred).
